What We Do

Echelon Detroit is so excited to take our chapter to the next level and continue to grow! We have active Board members who are engaged and passionate about our mission. Our goal is to encourage more young professionals within the Metro Detroit community to join us as we continue to raise awareness, network, fundraise, and serve the community around us through The Salvation Army's programs. We are energized by the lasting impact we have on our neighbors in need!

FUNDRAISING
At each social event, Echelon Detroit raises in-kind and/or monetary donations that directly support one of our Salvation Army programs. In 2019, we raised $5,000 for the Bed & Bread program, which provides more than 1.4 million meals to Metro Detroiters in need each year. In 2020, we raised $2,200 to support the Booth Women and Families Shelter, $4,300 to support The Salvation Army’s Summer in the City Campaign, which provided much needed financial assistance to Detroit residents who were financially impacted by COVID-19, and over $7,600 via our virtual Red Kettle to benefit the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign.

SERVICE & VOLUNTEER
Members are encouraged to participate in volunteer opportunities presented throughout the year. Our services include providing meals to the homeless and underserved, connecting with our after school programs to help the youth in our communities, participating in the annual Red Kettle Campaign, and much more!

SOCIAL & NETWORKING
Echelon Detroit strives to build a foundation of active young professionals at each of our events, with the goal of having them return for future social and volunteer events as active members. Several of our social events not only include networking with other young professionals, but also the chance to engage with local CEOs or executives who share their professional and philanthropic journeys.
